With recent developments in Washington D.C. affecting future education policy, there is likely a fight for music education coming in the very near future. Rather than feel powerless, I want to help in the only real way that I can, so for every copy of "Hymn to the Steadfast" that I sell between now and June 1st, I will donate 100% of the profits to the NAfME Give a Note Foundation in support of music education. It's a small gesture, but the little things do add up to big things over time.
"Hymn to the Steadfast" was commissioned by a group of high school seniors from North Carolina to honor their beloved band director. As an educator myself and the son of two teachers, the work soon took on a very personal meaning. The result of the commission is a piece of music written for one teacher, but meant for all who are called to be educators, and the steadfast resolve and professionalism that they bring to their students day in and day out.
The work is self-published, so unless that status changes and I transfer the copyright to a publisher before June, this offer will stand. Once your purchase is complete, I will send to you, within a day or two and via email, a personalized PDF of the piece that you can print and perform.
