I am thrilled to announce that I am partnering with Composers and Schools in Concert to create a consortium of high schools to commission a brand new work for Grade 3-4 string orchestra! This project will provide schools and students an opportunity to work with me and be a part of the creative process from start to finish. Work on the project will begin in the fall and we are still actively seeking schools and ensembles to join in this exciting project. The fee for each participating school is only $500 and the deadline to register is May 15th! The score will be delivered during the winter of 2017 so consortium members have enough time to premiere it in the spring of 2017. the composer will engage with the students throughout the consortium. There will be three learning sessions (online or in-person) with each participating ensemble including a 30-minute meet-the-composer session and a 30-minute rehearsal. Consortium ensembles and their directors will be listed on the score and receive a complete set of performance materials.
